Our Mission

At Officer Osteopathy, our mission is to help our clients achieve optimal health and wellness through the holistic approach of Osteopathy. We believe that by treating the body as a unit, and you as an individual, we can help achieve your goals that may include improvements to your overall well-being and enhance your quality of life.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of services on top of hands on soft tissue, including osteopathic techniques like HVLA, dry needling, cupping, and more. We will work together to create a customised treatment plan that meets your specific needs and goals.

About Me

My career varies slightly to most Osteopaths.

Prior to qualification and practising Osteopathy I have years of experience in both the construction and heavy machinery industries, as well as the sporting industry.

Now with over 6 years of clinical experience I believe this has aided me in my Osteopathy career by having an increased ability to relate with some of my patients and their occupations, ultimately increasing the ability to identify barriers that may impede recovery. Incorporating this with experience in private practise, it is proven to help people achieve their health related goals.

Where are you located?

We are located at Officer Family Medical Clinic on Fridays, with plans to increase availability on additional days in 2027.

Do I need a referral?

You do not need a referral to attend an appointment, but if you would like us to communicate any information to your GP on your behalf, we are happy to do so.

Do you accept private health?

Yes, we have the facilities to process private health claims, as well as DVA and medicare rebates.

I have a care plan from the doctor. How does that work?

A care plan (GPCCMP) is a medicare funded initiative that covers a set amount for you to attend up to 5 appointments with an approved provider, is this case Osteopathy. Currently, they will cover $63.40 of your appointment cost, leaving you with a much smaller gap fee.

What should I expect in my initial appointment?

In your first appointment we will begin with taking your medical history which will include information around your injury and general health. We may conduct a physical assessment, and progress to a relevant treatment which can include a mixture of hands on and exercise based approach. To finish, we will review strategies that may be useful to you, as well as the plan moving forward.

How can I prepare for my appointment?

We will handle most of the work, however a couple of things you can do to help is bring a copy of any medical documentation that is relevant to your visit, as well as wearing appropriate clothing for both your comfort and for ease of treatment.

What is the youngest patient that you accept?

Currently we accept patients 6 years and above, however with further paediatric training currently being undertaken, we are likely to expand this drastically to include all ages.

Do you have upfront payment treatment packages?

Treatment plans/packages are not something we offer at Officer Osteopathy, and we will never ask you to commit to any upfront payment plans. Each case is assessed individually and a plan is made with you to determine the most suitable course of action, which will continue to be assessed at each visit to ensure it suitable to you.
